Healthcare Benefits vs. Hire Methods?

SIreviewEveryone is familiar with the struggle businesses, and therefore employees, are having with health insurance benefits. We just finished the grueling process of reviewing our benefits program for of all our employees (internal and contract) and are happy to say that we have won the battle.

Our goals were pretty simple:

  • Offer a FREE plan to each employee.
  • Offer the most creative options to help meet each employee's needs.
  • Offer a great network of providers to treat our employees and their family.

Fortunately we were able to meet our goals and even exceed them in some ways. Last year we had two health plans; a Free core plan and a buy-up option. This year we have three plans; a Free core plan, and two different buy-up plans. We chose to stay with United Healthcare because they were able to be creative with our group and offer the most comprehensive provider network available.

It is always a tough debate on how to handle the rising cost of benefits. We have always been committed to providing the best possible benefits we can. So, even in this challenging environment, we have worked hard to stay ahead of the competition and continue our quest to be a Best Place to Work for everyone involved with our firm.

Here is more comprehensive look at our benefits:

  • 3 medical plan options to try and meet all individual and family needs
  • 1 medical plan offered at no cost to the employee
  • Co-pays for office visits on all three plans
  • Dental plan offered at no cost to the employee
  • Vision benefits offered at a minimal cost to employee
  • STD and LTD offered at no cost to the employee after 1 year of service (loyalty rewarded in benefits)
  • Voluntary life insurance coverage that is portable
  • Employer and broker will act as employee liaison to assist employee with any problems, questions or claims
  • Online benefits portal where employees can update their own information and view their coverages 24/7
  • Insurance companies that have large provider networks

While the debate rages on over how to solve healthcare and how it impacts businesses and employees, we are busy finding solutions to make it work. If you have any questions or need anything don’t hesitate to call.

WINNER =
