• Primary responsibility will be assisting with an FTP server migration project.  Candidate must be proficient in FTP, SFTP, & PGP technologies.
• Must be able to clearly communicate with AWD internal & external business partners.
• Possess the skills to plan/organize/coordinate/execute small projects
• Offer exceptional customer service to internal/external customers by being highly communicative and responsive
• Work with a variety of business areas to maintain and support IT systems based on Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Server 2000, 2003, 2008, and .NET technology
• Work closely with IT development staff, Allstate Enterprise Technology staff and AWD business areas to provide full-service IT functions. Key areas of expertise include Windows Servers, Windows XP, Exchange-based email, Active Directory, security, server monitoring, and network infrastructure
•  Support and troubleshoot Windows desktop & server applications developed in-house and externally.
• Provide on-site and remote support to diagnose and resolve both emergency and chronic problems related to hardware and software availability, security, performance, connectivity, and overall functionality
• Work with Allstate and AWD Development staffs to implement changes to applications and troubleshoot application problems. 
• Maintain documentation of the server and application environments as they evolve

Job Experience

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prefer MCSE 2003 or 2008 certification
• Proficient in Windows Operating systems and related features
• Proficient in the Use and Configuration of FTP, SFTP, PGP
• Proficient in the Use and Configuration of IIS and web Apps
• Proficient in the installation and use of Microsoft products
• Familiarity with SMS, Active Directory, MSI, SQL Server,  and scripting languages (KIX, VBS)
• Minimum three years of experience in a medium to large Windows environment
• High levels of interpersonal communications and organization skills
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing environments
• Desire to grow both personally and professionally

• LAN/ WAN experience
• Programming skills (C#, C++, VB)
• SQL 2005 or 2008 experience
• Formal Project Management experience and methodologies
• Exposure to SDLC methodologies
